Will there be Numayish on January 1?

Will Hyderabad have its historic Numayish or industrial exhibition on time this time? The High Court of Telangana appears determined to ensure that every safety measure is in place before the start of the exhibition and has said that if the arrangements are not satisfactory, then the exhibition should be postponed.
It has said in very clear terms that it is not satisfied by the NOCs given by departments such as fire, disaster management, electricity, GHMC, water works, Health and town planning. It said that they should give permissions only after inspecting the site. "Human lives are more important than the exhibition," the High Court has said. It said that the encroachments on the footpaths leading to the exhibition should be removed before the start of the exhibition. The argument that there was fire mishap only once in the 80 year history of the exhibition did not cut much ice with the High Court.
