Will Voting Percentage Rise This Time?
X
The voting percentage in Hyderabad has always been disappointing. The voting has always been less than 55 per cent be it the GHMC or the assembly elections in Hyderabad or the GHMC. Will it be different this time?

In the last assembly elections in 2018, the polling percentage in Nalgonda was 91 per cent, while in the twin cities, which account for more than 90 lakh voters or 23 per cent of the total voters in Telangana, the voting percentage was merely 49 per cent. Yakutpura in the Old City got a mere 41 per cent votes. In the Lok Sabha elections in 2014 too, the polling per cent was just 53. This shows the disinterest among the voters of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Though this time a lot of interest is being created due to the rivalry between the BJP and the TRS, will it translate into votes? Will the voter of the twin cities be moved to come to the polling booth and vote? Let's wait and see.
