After electing to power, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has started the Volunteer System in the state. But the opposition parties have made a fuss of it and asked what's the need to bring such a system.

The same Volunteer System helped the state in making a record in vaccinating the record number of beneficiaries. A total of 13 lakh people were vaccinated in a single day, the highest for any state in the country.

The role played by Asha Workers and ANMs should be acknowledged here. But the volunteers has a lion share of contribution in this regard.

This is not the first time, the volunteers played a big role in the state. The volunteers help in identifying the beneficiaries of various schemes launched by the government with utmost perfection.

With the help of volunteers, Asha Workers and ANMs, the health department achieved the record of vaccinating around 13 lakh people. The vaccination drive was held across over 2,000 vaccine centres, where beneficiaries above the age group of 45 and mothers with kids, who are below five were administered the vaccine doses.

There are around 2.6 lakh Volunteers in the State. Every volunteer was given the responsibility of handling 50 houses.

With the help of the Aadhar numbers, the volunteers went to the 50 houses, there were alloted and prepared a list of the beneficiaries. The same list was sent to the concerned authorities.

Following the list, the authorities made the required arrangements for conducting the drive.

Under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Andhra Pradesh has set an example of how to carry out the massive vaccinations.
