The Congress leaders are protesting against the Centre on this row.

The Congress leaders across the country took part in the protests actively. However, a Congress lady MP alleged that the Delhi police reportedly mistreated her and they tore her dress. Along with her, a few others complained the same speaking to the media.

Congress MP from Tamil Nadu Jothimani alleged that she was ill-treated by the cops and was beaten by them and worse is that her dress was torn by the cops in Delhi. The MP alleged the same speaking to the news agency ANI.

According to the MP, she and others who took part in the protest were not treated well and were dragged aside. When she requested the cops for some water they did not respond reportedly. Speaking about the horrific incident, the MP showed the kurta which she claimed was torn by the cops.

"There are 7-8 women on the bus with me. We have been requesting water, but they refused. When we are trying to buy it from outside, they are instructing sellers not to give water to us," the MP said describing the incident.
