YSRCP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had a busy Monday at Tadepalli. He had a meeting with a delegation of the World Bank as they called on the Chief Minister. The Meeting had great significance as the government explained the schemes and projects that are implemented in the state.

The eight-member delegation of the World Bank, led by its Country Director for India Auguste Tano Kouame is said to have reviewed the special programs and schemes implemented in the state. The Government explained the schemes and how well they are implemented.

The World Bank team is said to have explained satisfaction with the schemes and assured help in continuing the schemes. Besides financial assistance, the team is said to have offered technical support as well.

The World Bank team is happy with the Quality of Learning projects in the state and assured help for the next few years. This is good news for the state which is not great in finance compared to others. Education and Learning are the key sectors not only for the state but for the students and youths in the state.

Not just education, the World Bank Team also reviewed the special projects in Agriculture Transformation and Health Services. Andhra's Learning Transformation (SALT) project, the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Irrigation and Agriculture Transformation Project, and the Improved Health Services Project came up for review.

It has to be mentioned here that the Andhra Pradesh government is especially focusing on the education sector. The schools in the state are being renovated under the Naadu-Nedu program. Recently, the Andhra Pradesh government gave tabs to students for their education.

The Andhra Pradesh government is carrying out welfare schemes at a level that no state can compete with it. The flagship welfare schemes are catering to all sections of society. The government explained to the team about schemes and the team was impressed with this.

Back in 2021, the Indian Government and Andhra Pradesh signed a project with the World Bank to Improve the Quality of Learning for Over 5 Million Students in the state. The $250 million project would provide access to education and meet the needs of students with special needs.
