YCP's Vijayasai Reddy's Stature In Rajya Sabha Increases!

YSRCP Rajya Sabha member V. Vijayasai Reddy is a key leader in the party. He is very close to the YS family and was with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy when he floated his party. The political observers say that he enjoys the second lead position in the party. He was made a Rajya Sabha member for the second time.
V. Vijayasai Reddy's stature in the Upper House of Parliament, Rajya Sabha increased as he got a big position. He was appointed as a member of Rajya Sabha's public undertakings committee. This happened as he won the elections for the post. Reddy will hold the new position for the coming one year.
Vijayasai Reddy is already serving as the Chairman of two Standing Committees as a Rajya Sabha member. Vijayasai Reddy is also acting as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport on Tourism and Culture. Now he got another big position.
An election was held for seven members of the house. For the Public Accounts Committee of Rajya Sabha, seven members were elected including senior Bharatiya Janata Party member Dr K Laxman.
Vijayasai Reddy has been serving as a Rajya Sabha member since 2016. During his stint, he introduced ten Private Member Bills in the Parliament. The recent bill he tabled in the house was in 2018 which bats for reservation for the backward castes as per their population.
The bill says that special reservation should be granted for the backward castes in legislatures, educational institutions, and government jobs. However, the reservation should be granted as per the population.
Recently, Vijayasai Reddy has been losing his stature in Andhra Pradesh and the special positions he held in the party were given to others. It appears that his position was complemented by getting plum posts in the Rajya Sabha house.
