The YSRCP may jump at the contention that TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu is a visionary. It would oppose it tooth and nail and contest the claim. But, YSRCP boss and chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is exactly doing what Chandrababu Naidu did to lure international investments. The way Jagan is aping Chandrababu Naidu is now a hot topic of discussion within the AP political circles.

Not only Jagan went to the Davos meeting along with an entourage like Chandrababu Naidu, he is also planning to hold an investment summit in Vizag.

Remember, Chandrababu too had held an investors summit in Vizag to lur the foreign investors. The overall nature of the programme too appear to be a photocopy of what Chandrababu did while he was the chief minister.

It may be recalled that it was Chandrababu as CM, who attracted investments and facilitated the setting up of the industrial units. Now, Jagan is aping Chandrababu Naidu. It may be recalled that the YSRCP had criticised the investors' summit as a mere publicity stunt. But now, Jagan is doing the same thing to lure investors.

Political observers feel that despite the criticism, Jagan has no alternative but to invite foreign investors like Chandrababu did. It appears that the YSRCP has not made this a prestige issue and tried to stall the development. The party has kept the development of the stage in view while luring the foreign investors.
