YS Viveka Case: Suspects approach High Court against Dastagiri!

The probe launched by the central agency Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) in connection with the murder case of former Lok Sabha member YS Vivekananda Reddy is still going on. Over the due course of the investigation, several developments took place like Driver Dastagiri turning approver and sharing information on the planning to kill Viveka.

Former driver of YS Vivekananda Reddy Dastagiri turning approver was a big development in the case. Having turned approver, Dastagiri said that they have planned to kill Viveka and admitted killing Viveka. He also named a few others in connection with the case.

The other suspects who have been opposing Dastagiri have taken their fight against the former driver of YS Vivek had knocked on the doors of the Andhra Pradesh High Court challenging the pardon order issued by the Magistrate.

In the petition, the other suspects raised a few objections over Dastagiri getting a pardon from the Magistrate. Seeking directives to quash the pardon orders, the suspects have approached the High Court. The petition came for the hearing on Thursday before the court.

Hearing the petition, the Andhra Pradesh High Court has reserved its order in the matter. More details on this issue are awaited.

The other suspects in the case Yerra Gangi Reddy, Yadati Sunil Yadav, and Gajjala Uma Shankar Reddy have moved the Andhra Pradesh High Court objecting to Shaik Dastagiri getting a pardon from the chief judicial magistrate.

Earlier Dastagiri had admitted that they made a plan to kill YS Vivekananda Reddy and said the same in the statement that was recorded by the Kadapa sub-court. Dastagiri was also one of the accused in the much-talked-about case. Before recording the statement, Dastagiri's application to turn approver in the case was approved by the court.

According to Dastagiri's statement, a detailed plan was made and recce was conducted. On the day of the attack, the axe that was used to attack YS Vivekananda Reddy was bought from Kadiri.

YS Vivekananda Reddy was found dead at his residence in Pulivendula. A few severe injuries were spotted on his body. The incident has raised many questions that have to be addressed.
