YCP Government made it clear every Mother who sends her children to the Government or Private School will be made beneficiary of Amma Vodi Scheme. First of all, CM Jaganmohan Reddy decided to modernise the Government Schools in the state in the process of revamping the education system.
As per the statement issued by CMO, Amma Vodi Scheme is being planned to ensure education for every poor kid. While the National Average for illiteracy is 26 percent, It's 33 percent in AP. Which means, 33 out of every 100 people are illiterates in Andhra Pradesh. Amma Vodi will bring a drastic change in the lives of poor families. Every Mother who sends their children to the schools will be the beneficiary.
Initially, State Government thought of limiting Amma Vodi Scheme to Government Schools only. AP Private & Aided Schools Management urged the AP Government to extend the scheme to Private Schools as well. And now, CM Jagan took the call to make Amma Vodi applicable for private schools to ensure equal justice to all.
