Congress Working Committee special invitee Chinta Mohan is making sure that he stays in the headlines. At regular intervals, he is holding press meets and giving sensational statements on various issues thus enjoying the limelight in the media. The former Union Minister is in the news once again with his statements.

In his recent press meet, Chinta Mohan credited late Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy for the formation of the Telangana state. The events that took place in December 1990 had paved a way for Telangana formation. The state was formed after the political parties gave letters in support of Telangana, he said.

Chinta Mohan made these sensational comments days after holding YS Rajasekhar responsible for the bifurcation of the state. Earlier last week, Chinta Mohan spoke about the reasons for the downfall of the Congress in Andhra Pradesh and Rajasekhar Reddy's role in the bifurcation of the state is one of the reasons.

The veteran Congress leader drew a comparison between the present situation and in earlier days. Earlier, a lot of students who studied on scholarships went to hold good positions in various sectors. But now the Andhra Pradesh government is stopping scholarships for the students. The government should release the scholarships for the students at least now, he said.

The Ex-Union Minister had once again batted for the demand to see Kapu Chief Minister in the state. Two communities have enjoyed power in the state. We are working on bringing all the political parties under one roof for allocating power to Kapus in 2024, he said.

Talking about the agitation to save the Visakhapatnam Steel plant, Chinta Mohan came down severely on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for not speaking on the issue despite the Union Government making plans to sell the plant.

While slamming the Union Government for bringing troubles to the people, Chinta Mohan had condemned the sale of the steel point and said only the Congress party has the power to save the plant from landing in the hands of the private people. What is the state government doing on the plant, he asked.
