Telugu Desam Party is miles ahead of Opposition Parties in Andhra Pradesh when it comes to Advertisements on Electronic Media. Unfortunately, YSR Congress Leadership ignored this kind of promotions completely. Directors Mahi V Raghav of 'Yatra' fame and Sudhir Varma of 'Keshava' fame created few Political Ads for YCP. Still, Not even a single YCP Ad is appearing on News Channels until now.
If the sources are to be believed, Prashant Kishore who is the political strategist for YCP is of the impression that Political Ads on Television doesn't guarantee much mileage.
A Voter could be influenced by any of the Factors. Nobody could say Political Ads will have zero impact. Why would other Parties spend crores for TV Ads if there is no use of them. Any Political Party will have to use all the available resources and platforms to obtain the best result. Ignoring Advertisements at such a crucial juncture can't be justified. Even the party leaders and workers aren't pleased with this kind of approach.
YSR Congress Party isn't in a position to afford waiting for another 5 years to form the government. It's high time YCP Leadership takes necessary measures to match up with TDP when it comes to Social Media, Print & Electronic Media Ads.
