Corruption allegations against a ruling party MLC are quite common. But such allegations are usually levelled by the opposition. But, have you heard of ruling party leaders themselves making allegations against their own MLA saying that he has amassed ill-gotten wealth to a tune of Rs 250 crore in just two years of the YSRCP rule. They did not just make the allegations, but also provided proofs supporting their claims.

The MLA in question is Dulam Nageswara Rao, the YSRCP MLA from Kaikaluru. Party’s BC cell secretary Paparao Goud and Mala Mahanadu president Jagan Babu Rao have addressed a press conference to highlight the "corrupt practices of" the Kaikaluri MLA.

They said that he has taken kickbacks worth Rs 50 crore by alienating 1600 acres in Kolluru to some benamis. Similarly, he has gotten 80 acres in Kaikaluru, 40 acres in Pamarru and 50 acres near the Ramoji Film City. They also said that the MLA owns 50 acres in Vizag and 13 acres in Nadupuru. They said that the MLA was involved in a land grab spree.

This revelation has left the YSRCP sources baffled. They are finding themselves in a soup over the allegations. They can neither deny nor accept them. But the YSRCP insiders are worried that if one MLA can amass so much, what about the other MLAs, ministers and corporation chiefs. They now feel that there must be some stock-taking within the party at the earliest.
