YSRCP to make R Krishnaiah as Rajya Sabha MP?

The social media is hotly debating about the political future of prominent BC leader R Krishnaiah. There are rumours that he would be made a Rajya Sabha member from the YSRCP quota. He may soon join the YSRCP and contest on behalf of the party in AP. However, neither the YSRCP nor Krishnaiah himself are either conforming or refuting this.

R Krishnaiah was the face of BC politics in the Telugu states and worked to protect the interests of the BCs at large. He was made an MLA from LB Nagar on TDP ticket in 2014. However, he soon parted company with the TDP and remained an unattached member. Since then, he has been involved in BC related affairs and has been hobnobbing with all major parties, including the BJP and the YSRCP.

Sources say that he is likely to be made a Rajya Sabha member on YSRCP quota. While this news is unconfirmed, sources say that it could be announced quite soon. According to sources, R Krishnaiah met CM Jagan's advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy at Tadepalli on Tuesday.

The YSRCP was expected to give the party ticket to BC leader Beeda Mastan Rao of Prakasam district. However, latest developments suggest that he could be asked to stand down and make way for R Krishnaiah. If sources are to be believed, the list would be announced by evening.
