A section of the yellow media is going on an overdrive claiming that BJP's AP unit president Somu Virraju would be replaced. The media house have begun a campaign saying that Somu Virraju would be replaced by a Kamma leader, preferably Daggubati Purandeshwari.
The media is peddling stories that claim that the BJP national leadership is unhappy with the AP president. He has neither managed to win the Kapu vote nor rein in Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena. Instead, he has been working closely with the YSRCP, some pro-TDP websites claimed. The party leadership has evidence of Somu Virraju colluding with the YSRCP, the websites claimed. However, the fact is that the BJP had always adopted a pro-TDP attitude and even during the local body polls, there were attempts to transfer votes to TDP at many places. Yet, the yellow media is trying to project that Virraju is all set to be replaced. They say that Purandeswari would replace them.
Those who know the BJP style of functioning know that BJP does not change captains midway. In fact, it did not even replace Congress nominees for various nominated posts and waited till their tenure ended. Such being the case, it is anybod's guess whether the BJP will junk Virraju.
