Nizamabad is a strong BJP citadel and the party had won MLA seat in Nizamabad urban and Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat in the district several times. But, the party is now busy fighting with itself. The situation has now come to expulsions and even registering of cases. If sources are to be believed, MP Dharmapuri Aravind and former MLA Yendala Lakshminarayana are at loggerheads.

Recently, senior BJP leader Prasad Patel was booked in a case of gender harassment. Patel belongs to Yendala faction and Yendala felt that the case was foisted by the rival group only to weaken Yendala. The former MLA is said to be planning to take the issue to the notice of the state BJP leaders.

The two groups are war with one another for quite some time. Recently, one group has organised a temple protection rally. The other group claimed that they were not invited to the programme. In the past too, Yendala has accused some in the party of selling the B forms during the time of elections. Meanwhile, MP Aravind's followers are up in arms against Yendala. They have taken the issue to the notice of the state leadership

Party State President Bandi Sanjay is said to have talked to both the groups. He is said to have told both the groups to bury their differences and work together for the growth of the party. Despite his intervention, the situation has not changed, say sources.
