Devdutt Padikkal is RCB's newest hero and the IPL's latest sensation. The 20-year-old impressed everyone with his outstanding batting skills and got appreciation from several cricket legends.
Padikkal becomes the talk of the nation after he smashed 56 runs off 42 balls, 8 fours in his debut game of IPL.
Born in Kerala, Padikkal's family shifted to Bangalore from Hyderabad in 2011. His training began at the Karnataka Institute of Cricket.
Devdutt Padikkal was the highest run-scorer in 2019/20 edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He scored 609 runs at an average of 67.66 in the former while finished with 580 runs (12 innings) in the latter.
