Ysrcp All Set To Become A Majority In Council
X
The YSRCP is all set to cross another milestone. It will soon surpass the TDP and become the single largest party in the legislative council. This will remove a major hurdle for the YSCP government. Till now, the TDP had been stalling all the bills that the YSRCP government was bringing using its numerical superiority in the legislative council. Soon this dominance will end for the TDP.

As many as 14 new vacancies are going to come up in the council as the term of the sitting MLCs is going to end. The current party position is: YSRCP – 12, TDP – 15, BJP -1 , independents – 4, PDF – 4. There are 14 vacancies now. If these 14 seats are filled, the total strength would be 58. The elections were not held because of the Covid lockdown. Now the decks are being cleared to hold these elections.

It is a no-brainer that all the 14 seats would be won by the YSRCP. Once the results are out the party position will be : YSRCP: 26, TDP – 15. Even if all other parties come together, the YSRCP will have numerical superiority. Sources say that leaders like Marri Rajasekhar of Chilakaluripet, Amanchi Krishna Mohan of Chirala, Beeda Mastan Rao of Nellore, Kuppam YSRCP incharge Bharat, Ummareddy Venkateshwaru are likely to be nominated as MLCs.
