Badvel By-poll: YSRCP Candidate To Get Record Majority!
X
The ruling YSRCP which is dominating the elections in Andhra Pradesh since the 2019 general elections, is taking forward the winning streak and the recently held Badvel by-election is also in favor of the party as the ruling party's candidate is going forward with a stunning lead in the vote counting.

Doctor Sudha, who contested the by-poll on the YSRCP ticket is all set to march on a stunning victory as there is a very big margin between the votes polled for her and BJP candidate P. Suresh. Reports say, she is leading by more than 60,000 votes and the BJP candidate is lagging.

After the seven rounds of vote counting, Sudha took the lead of over 60,000 votes. If the same trend continues, she will win the elections with a bigger margin by beating the majority set up by her husband, former Badvel MLA Gunthoti Venkata Subbaiah. The by-election in the constituency became inevitable after his demise.

Gunthoti Venkata Subbaiah who contested the Badvel constituency on the YSRCP ticket in the 2019 general elections went on to win the election by crushing TDP candidate Rajasekhar with a majority of 44,734 votes. Going by the trends, Sudha might break this record quite comfortably.

The vote counting for the recently concluded Badvel by-poll was started at the Badvel Gurukul Hospital on Tuesday. Sudha took the leading from the first round itself and her lead went on to increase with every round. Four rounds are left in the counting and she might make a new record in the constituency with her majority.

The opposition party in the state Telugu Desam Party(TDP) stayed out of the election to support Sudha, who is contesting the election after the demise of her husband. As part of the alliance with the BJP, Janasena also did not contest the elections. Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) and Congress party have contested the elections. But the candidates of two political parties failed to pose a tough fight.

Badvel by-elections were held on the 30th of October and 1,47,213 out of the 2,15,240 total votes were polled in the election. The final result of the by-election will be out by today evening.
