Woman Ips Officer Attracts Trouble For Asking Free Biryani, Probe Launched!

Being in a big and respectable position, one should be watchful of their respective actions and words. One simple mistake might cost a big time. A woman IPS officer experienced the same after an alleged audio clip of her went viral.
Going into detail, a woman Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from Maharashtra had called her subordinate over phone to get Mutton Biryani from a restaurant without paying money. She even asked the subordinate to make the concerned Inspector of the jurisdiction where the restaurant is located.
In the viral audio clip, the IPS officer even asked who pays for the restaurant that falls under their jurisdiction. However, her subordinate replied that they always pay for food if it was ordered from outside.
The alleged audio clip which went viral on social media had sent shocking waves across the state. It had also attracted wide range criticism. With the issue getting bigger, the state government stepped in.
Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil had ordered for an inquiry into the issue and directed the Commissioner of Police to submit a comprehensive probe.
The Home Minister said the issue of the alleged audio call came to his notice and said the issue is a serious one hence the probe was ordered.
He went on to say that we are waiting for the report to arrive and once the report is out, the government will take a call on what action should be taken against the IAS Officer.
However, the woman IPS Officer, who landed in big trouble with the audio leak, alleged that the issue was a big conspiracy to defame her ahead of the promotions.
Smelling a big conspiracy, the Civil servant said that the entire issue was a pre planned one.
Speaking to the media, the Officer alleged that a few senior officials in the department might have been involved in the planning to defame her.
It has been widely reported that, to prove her innocence in the infamous free biryani row, the officer is in plans to move the Cyber-crime wing. She claims that the leaked audio clip was doctored partially.
