'Power Pandi', the directorial debut of Tamil star Dhanush, is a blockbuster written all over it. That's the first impression theatrical trailer gives for anyone who had seen it. He not only penned a beautiful script & directed the project to perfection but also produced it on his home banner Wunderbar Studios.
This Movie is the journey of Power Pandi, a 64-Year-Old Man, played by Raj Kiran of 'Pandem Kodi' fame. How his search for Companionship with lady love Revathi at the age of 60-plus affects his relationship with his Son, played by Prasanna, is the key element in the story. The beautiful relationship Power Pandi shares with his Grand Children is a delight to watch. Had this Elderly Man won the battle against the societal norms (Romance isn't for the Aged) or not?
'Power Pandi' has all the elements in right proportions to hit the bull's eye. Dhanush yet again shows how skilled he has been & the kind of grip he have on the craft. Icing on the cake is the cameo played by himself towards the end.
