All eyes are on the much-anticipated World Cup 2023 which will start tomorrow. Cricket fans across the globe have been waiting to see the best teams competing with each other. All the World Cup playing teams arrived in India and began their preparation to lift the trophy.

As the tournament will come alive in 24 hours, the focus is on five players who can set the tournament on fire and play a big role in their respective teams lifting the glorious trophy. The five players are dubbed as Fab 5 of the current era.

Virat Kohli: The list cannot be started without mentioning the special player. Virat Kohli has the highest number of centuries among the active players and he is dubbed as Run Machine and Chase Master. Despite struggling with bad form for a couple of years, he bounced back and is on a spree of making runs. It is not an exaggeration to say that Virat Kohli's performance is vital for the Indian team.

Steve Smith: The Australian player is regarded as the modern-day great. He can make any bowler go for runs on his given day. He is entering the tournament with a lot of expectations. He was a member of the 2015 squad which won the World Cup. This edition is said to be the last one for Steve Smith and he may want to sign off on a high note.

Kane Williamson: He might be a New Zealand player, but has fans across the globe. His calm nature in tough conditions makes him stand alone from others. He is in his prime form and his performance can come in handy to the team. Despite winning the WTC trophy, Kane Williamson could not lift the World Cup Trophy. He is a player to watch out for.

Joe Root: The specialist English player in the Test format left a big legacy in the longer format of the game. To meet the 50-over format he made changes to his gameplay and is coming in handy to the team. If he shines with the bat, the England team might lift the trophy yet again.

Babar Azam: The star player for Pakistan made it to the list with his steady performance. Earlier there was only a Fab 4 list. But he made it to the list as runs started flowing from his bat. He is entering the tournament as the Number 1 batsman and his team is expecting a match-winning performance from him.
