The Indian cricket team led by Rohit Sharma entered the finals of the World Cup and will lock horns with Australia for the trophy. India faced a tough challenge in the semis as it crushed the Kiwis team in the knockout stage. India passed the crucial knockout stage and entered the finals.

India defeating New Zealand is not a small thing given the stats. New Zealand has been a bogey team of India. In every ICC match, New Zealand has defeated India since 2003. In 2019 New Zealand knocked India out of the tournament in the semis. Even in the WTC final India lost to New Zealand.

Fans had fears in the semis. But the Indian team held its nerves and won the match. Indian fans saw the win as revenge for the 2019 World Cup defeat. India crushed the Kiwis team by a margin of 70 runs in the high-scoring thriller match.

Now the cricket world was stunned to know that former New Zealand coach Michael James Hesson made accurate predictions of the match. Before the match, he said that Virat Kohli would score his 50th century and India would make a big score. Saying that New Zealand will face a big target, the coach said Mohammed Shami will pick up seven wickets.

“India are pretty strong. I reckon they will win by about 70 runs. We could see something special from someone like Virat Kohli. He’s obviously gonna try and get his 50th hundred, tonight could be the night. New Zealand chasing a big score and when they do that, Mohammed Shami might get six or seven wickets tonight,” Mike Hesson said.

The biggest surprise is that the predictions came true. Virat Kohli scored his 50th century and helped India put up a big score. In chasing New Zealand lost two early wickets. Daryl Mitchell and Kane Williamson made a big partnership and gave hope that the Kiwis might win the match. But Mohammed Shami turned hero for the team and picked up seven wickets.
