Run Machine Virat Kohli has attained the image that he makes scoring centuries look easy. But he also faced some issues and he had a century drought for two and a half years. During the Covid time, many said that playing in empty stadiums is not easy. Moreover, people gave statements that Virat Kohli’s chapter is closed. Proving them wrong, Virat bounced back and came back to form.

Virat Kohli’s form was not good during the Covid time. Having faced issues with the form he came out of these issues in style. Virat’s comeback is so strong that he recorded the highest number of centuries this year. Virat is having a dream form this year and added six centuries to his name.

In January this year, Virat scored two centuries in four days. He scored 113 and 166* runs respectively. He started the year on a high note with a superb century against Sri Lanka. In September he smashed a century against arch-rivals Pakistan with 122*score. Continuing the dream form he scored centuries against Bangladesh(103*) and South Africa(101*) in October and November respectively. That was the 49th century in Virat’s career.

Virat added another glorious career to his name by smashing a century against New Zealand the other day in the semis. This marks the 50th century in the ODI format. Virat now stands tall as the player with the most number of centuries in the ODI format. Virat is at the top place with six centuries this year.
