As Rachin Ravindra is an Indian-origin player, people are showing interest in knowing more about him. With the young player having a unique name, reports said that Rachin was named after legendary Indian players Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. People also believed the reports.
Now the issue took a new turn as it is now said that there is no such thing behind naming Rachin and their parents causally named him. During an interview, Rachin's father said this. After naming their kid Rachin, their parents realized that it had the names of two legendary players.
As per the media reports, Rachin’s father said that there is no truth behind the opinion that he was named after Sachin and Dravid. His wife suggested the name and they felt that the name was short and easy to spell. After naming him they realized that it had the names of two greatest players.
“When Rachin was born, my wife proposed the name, and we quickly agreed on it because it sounded good, was easy to spell, and was short. Only later did we realize it unintentionally combined Rahul and Sachin’s names. Our intention wasn’t to groom our child into a cricketer or anything like that,” Rachin’s father is quoted as saying by the media reports
