He will not remember this birthday as India recorded a comprehensive win over South Africa and he scored a superb century. He emerged as the only Indian batsman who scored a century on his birthday.
His superb century made Virat Kohli enter history books and record the highest number of centuries in the ODI format. Virat shares the list with India’s great Sachin Tendulkar. Both players have 49 centuries in the ODI format.

As Sachin turned 50 this year, he said that he took 365 days to reach 50 from 49 but he is hoping that Virat Kohli will reach the 50th century in a few days. His post on X is making Virat fans happy.

Talking about yesterday’s match India set up a big score of 326 for the loss of five wickets in their quota of 50 overs. Virat played a big role in this with a century. Shreyas Iyer played a crucial knock. Star-all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja added sparks in the last over.
South Africa did not get the ideal start as opener Quinton de Kock was sent back by Mohammed Siraj when the score was just 6. At regular intervals, Indian bowlers took wickets and restricted South Africa to just 83. Ravindra Jadeja is the top pick of bowlers with fifer while Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav claimed two wickets each.
