Jai Simha: 25 Cr In Ten Days, Inching Towards Breakeven

Nandamuri Balakrishna always had good luck with Sankranthi season as most of his blockbusters were Sankranthi releases. He had his share of failures in Sankranthi but he Balayya is always a Sankranthi hero. It seems he has done the same feat with his latest Sankranthi outing 'Jai Simha'.

Irrespective of the mouth talk, 'Jai Simha' turned out to be a better film among the Sankranthi releases. With ten days of theatrical run, 'Jai Simha' collected Rs. 25+ crores. This is the fourth 25 crore film for Nandamuri hero in his career. 'Jai Simha' first week collections were Rs.23 crores in the first week but it is able to add only Rs. 2 crores to the total share in the second week.

'Jai Simha' theatrical rights are valued at Rs. 28 crores and it has recovered 25 crores till now. So, the movie has to collect three more crores to breakeven. Considering the long weekend of Republic day Balayya film might post some decent numbers. But 'Jai Simha' will have tough competition in the form of new releases 'Bhagamathie'.. 'Aachari America Yatra'.. 'Padmavat'.
