Sources say that Purandeswari, who happens to be the aunt of NTR , was specifically brought in as the state party chief only to bring NTR into the BJP. By virtue of her being senior NTR's daughter, she has considerable appeal among the people. Sources say that Somu Veerraju has been removed from the party president's post specifically to make it neutral.
