Ex-IAS Analysis On AP's Volunteer System!

Update: 2023-07-20 17:11 GMT

The flagship Volunteer system brought by the ruling YSRCP has been under intense discussion for the past few days. One after the other, the personalities are coming out to give their version of the system. We have seen the likes of Cabinet Ministers and people from the film arena like RGV, Posani Krishna Murali, and Tammareddy Bharadwaja talking about the issue.

The row over the Volunteer system started with the shocking allegations made by Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan. At a meeting, Pawan Kalyan alleged that girls are missing in the state and stressed the human trafficking angle. Janasena chief also blamed the Volunteers. The intensity of the issue is not over yet.

Amid this, former IAS Jaya Prakash Narayana, who served as the MLA reacted to the issue and gave his take on this. Of late, Jaya Prakash Narayana has been using his experience and knowledge to react to various issues and give analysis on the topics. As so much is happening around the issue, he responded to it.

In his analysis, Jaya Prakash Narayana said that depending on the volunteer system to send the rations to the houses of the beneficiaries is not acceptable and there is no clarity on what is the need of the system. However, he also said that providing welfare is the responsibility of the government.

The ex-IAS also said that delivering ration items to the doorsteps of the beneficiaries is not acceptable and there is no need to bring a system like the Volunteer system. The government should focus more on making the people stand on their own by enhancing the people's self-respect.

Jaya Prakash Narayana also expressed a few concerns about poverty. He said that around 25 lakh people are moving into the poverty line and focus is needed on how they should be brought out of poverty, he added.
