Boyapati Sreenu Confirms Son’s Key Character in Akhanda 2

Tollywood has seen it plenty of times, directors or producers giving their kids small or even major roles in their films. And now it’s happening with Akhanda 2, which is all set to release on December 5. This time, it’s director Boyapati Sreenu’s own son stepping into the spotlight.

With the release just around the corner, Boyapati has been talking to fans on X and clearing a few doubts. His younger son, Varshit, is part of the film, and even though the boy mentioned it at the pre-release event, he didn’t share what exactly he’s doing. Boyapati finally filled in the details himself.

Varshit appears as Bhakta Prahlad in the film. If you rewatch the trailer, the little one in the Prahlad getup suddenly makes more sense. Boyapati didn’t reveal how this character ties into the main story, so that part stays hidden, probably on purpose. Along with him, Aadi Pinisetty is playing the villain, and Harshali Malhotra, Poorna, and Kabir Duhan Singh are also in the mix.

Meanwhile, the overseas bookings are already climbing, and Balakrishna is almost everywhere: Chennai, Hyderabad, interviews nonstop. Thaman is sounding unusually confident with the music, which fans are treating as a good sign. So yeah, the whole thing feels like a controlled storm building up just before release day.
