Akhanda 2 Shooting Speed Shocks Everyone, Major Chunk Done!

Nandamuri Balakrishna is clearly in beast mode post the massive success of his show Unstoppable. All eyes are now on his much-awaited film Akhanda 2, and if reports are to be believed, the shooting is racing ahead at a surprising pace. In fact, sources say that Balayya even turned down a cameo offer in Sunny Deol’s upcoming Bollywood film Jaat possibly to stay focused on Akhanda 2 without any distractions.

As fans know, Balakrishna played a powerful dual role in the original Akhanda, with one of the characters being the fierce and mystical Aghora. That same energy is set to return in the sequel. Following director Boyapati Sreenu’s vision, the team has prioritized shooting the Aghora portions first and except for a few action scenes, that entire chunk is already wrapped up!

Interestingly, the remaining action-heavy sequences will reportedly be shot using body doubles, allowing Balakrishna to move ahead with the second character’s storyline. According to the buzz from the sets, the talkie portions of the film are expected to be completed by June. With S. Thaman once again handling the music and powerful producers Ram and Gopichand Achanta backing it under 14 Reels, expectations are sky-high.

Adding a nostalgic twist to the day, April 4 also marks the re-release of Balakrishna’s cult classic Aditya 369 in both Telugu states. While fans are celebrating that film’s legacy, the lightning-fast progress on Akhanda 2 has only added to the excitement. The roar of Balayya is coming and it’s coming faster than anyone expected.
