Indian Army Recruitment Uses Allu Arjun’s Video

The Directorate General of Recruiting, Indian Army, posts motivational videos on their social media pages to encourage youths to take up the army route. Asking people from the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana, the other day they have posted special notifications, asking to become an Agniveer in the Indian Army and be part of a legacy of courage, honour, and sacrifice.

One video the Indian Army’s recruitment team shared on social media is actually crafted from the visuals of “Naa Peru Surya” movie, where Allu Arjun portrayed the role of an angry Indian soldier. Calling it “Your Uniform. Your Pride. Your Nation. 🇮🇳”, the page shared the video clip, which is going viral, due to the presence of Allu Arjun. However, there are two sides of the coin; while some hailed the video, some are actually criticising it.

Some netizens have advised the army to rope in visuals from films like URI and other movies that are centred around the Kargil War, rather than a commercial movie like Naa Peru Surya. Though the video is particularly targeted for recruitment from Telugu states, even people from other states are responding to this, as it features Allu Arjun. Let’s see if the star could drive more people into the army now.
