For the last couple of days, the ticket pricing at the hyper Allu Cinemas Dolby theatre has been widely discussed in film circles.
Many experts have shared opinions that with the ticket prices around ₹395 in the range of ticket pricing at Mahesh Babu's AMB Cinemas, they say that Allu Cinemas will now grab all the footfalls. However, Allu Cinemas will win not because of this pricing, but because of their location advantage.
Allu Cinemas is located on Gandipet-Kokapet Main Road, which is right now the hub for many uptown gated communities. For people living in Manikonda Village, Narsingi, Alkapur, Manchirevula, Kokapet, and Gandipet, if they have to watch a film, they need to rush all the way to either PVR Preston Prime, PVR Inorbit, or AMB Cinemas in Gachibowli. All these theatres are nearly 10 km long for people in this area, and they will take easily 45 minutes during prime times. As there is no option, people are just heading to these theatres.
Now that Allu Cinemas has come up within a vicinity of 3-5 km and with a reaching time, just around 15 minutes, surely that advantage will work for the Allu Arjun theatre until competition comes up. At the same time, if the Dolby experience clicks, surely this will take the theatre to the next level.
