How she overcomes all the hurdles and gets what she wants forms the crux of the story. Ramesh Solanki who is a Shiva Sena leader claimed that it is Anti-Hindu and even filed an FIR.

Even Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Shriraj Nair criticised the film for its comments on Hindu gods and warned Zee Studios about the effects that they will be facing if this movie is not released from Netflix. Responding to it, the production company has officially released a letter apologising to VHP and announcing its removal from Netflix until the required parts are edited.

Shriraj Nair said, "We are happy that @ZeeStudios_ have realised their mistake and pls note we have never ever interfered in the creative freedom of any film but Hindu Bashing and mocking will never be tolerated."

Nayan is shown as a Brahmin woman who cooks non-vegetarian in order to win the competition. A few Hindu organizations have complained that it hurt the sentiments of Brahmins.
