Mallu Beauty Having Rangasthalam Moment Finally

Almost a decade ago, director Sukumar first offered the role of Ramalakshmi from Rangasthalam to Malayalam beauty Anupama Parameswaran. Owing to the fact that the role requires some raw glamour, flaunting waist and midriff big time, the actress declined to do it, even though it is opposite Ram Charan. Later, Samantha slipped into the role effortlessly, and the rest is history.

Fast forward to 10 years now, finally, Anupama is getting to play a similar Ramalakshmi kind of role on the Telugu screen through Sharwanand’s Bhogi movie. Her look as Kandula Sulochana Rani has simply stunned the movie lovers, but also gave them some nostalgic feelings. Well, in many interviews that came later on, Anupama has expressed regret for not doing Rangasthalam when Sukumar asked her. If she had done that, she would have become a star heroine in a very short time. Though she enjoys a very good fan following in Telugu, somehow she hasn’t acted with top stars like Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Jr NTR, and other superstars. Ragnasthalam would have surely made a difference to her career.

Now that she’s doing a similar kind of role in Bhogi, opposite her lucky charm Sharwanand, with whom she has an award-winning commercial blockbuster like Satamanamam Bhavati, surely this role might take her places if the Sampath Nandi directorial connects to audiences. Definitely, this is the second time such a Rangasthalam moment is coming to Anupama’s career at 30 years of age.
