Anurag Kashyap Explains Why He Won't Work With Ranbir Again!
But the director recently said that it is not possible to work with Ranbir Kapoor again. He stated, "Who wouldn't want to work with him? But I don't think… It takes a lot of time to accept.
Talented director Anurag Kashyap is considered as torch bearer of new age and non-mainstream cinema. He is known for giving life to many fantastic artists like Vicky Kaushal, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rajkumar Rao and others. But he is always known for small films and failed big time when he made a high-budget movie like 'Bombay Velvet'. Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma were the lead actors in this movie while Karan Johar played the villain's role.
But the director recently said that it is not possible to work with Ranbir Kapoor again. He stated, "Who wouldn't want to work with him? But I don't think… It takes a lot of time to accept. Look, I don't have any formula for making a blockbuster, and when a star experiments, I get criticized, and so does he."
He added, "When a person becomes a star, he gets fans. The word fan comes from fanatic. So, fans see their star in a certain way. The fan clubs are constantly fighting among themselves; there's an invisible war going on non-stop between all the fan clubs. So, if you're not catering to that fan club, making a film with the star becomes a challenging task for a filmmaker.
Talking about Ranbir's latest flick 'Animal', he said, "I'm yet to watch Animal. I just returned from Marrakech. But I'm aware of the conversations happening online. Nobody has the right to tell a filmmaker what kind of films they should and shouldn't make. People in this country get easily offended with films. They get offended with my films too. But I expect educated people to not get offended at the drop of a hat.
