Stunning actress Anushka Shetty, known for her privacy off-screen, has become the latest target of deepfake technology misuse.

Following her blockbuster movie "Baahubali" with Prabhas, fans who desired their on-screen chemistry to translate into real life started circulating fabricated images depicting their marriage and children. While these photos gained traction online, their artificial intelligence origins were quickly identified, and fans debunked them.

Anushka, expressing her disapproval, publicly warned against such actions, threatening legal consequences if they continued. Rumours now suggest that her family is considering filing a police complaint against the creators of these morphed images.

This comes amidst additional unfounded rumours circulating on social media about her supposed marriage to a star cricketer and family approval for the union. Anushka's family has remained silent on these claims.

It's not the first time unfounded rumours about Anushka have surfaced, causing her distress. The possibility of her family taking legal action against the spread of such false narratives highlights the growing concern surrounding deepfakes and their potential to create harmful misinformation. Notably, the recent arrest of a Telugu man for creating deepfakes of actress Rashmika Mandanna serves as a precedent.
