Renowned Malayali Filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan wasn't a fan of films which have a scale as huge as that of 'Baahubali'. He strongly believes the War Drama doesn't deserve a National Award because of the bad impact it leaves on both Industry and audience. 'It's devastating to see a film like Baahubali receiving National honour,' he told.
At the Manorama News Conclave, Adoor Gopalakrishnan opined making such high-budget ventures is no less than a crime. 'Movies like Baahubali are harmful to the society. I won't even spend Rs 10 to watch it. We could make 10 films with Rs 10 crore & Rs 100 films with Rs 100 crore'.
On a finishing note, Mr.Gopalakrishnan alleged 'Baahubali' is just a copy of 1951 Telugu-Tamil bilingual 'Pathala Bhairavi'.
How many would agree with the views expressed by the Veteran Filmmaker? Well, People are with Baahubali Teamâ¦what else do they need?
