Is Agnythavasi Really A Copy?

Update: 2018-01-04 10:52 GMT
Trivikram Srinivas might have been a maker who takes inspirations from World Cinema to make his own film in Telugu, but he has always been open about them. He never tried to cover them up and always cheerfully accepted that he does take inspiration from various sources and use his own imagination to re-produce them.

But when it comes to his Agnyathavasi, people have already decided that this movie is a copy of Largo Winch- The Heir Apparent, without even completely knowing what is the story of the film.

Till now, except for the teaser, no promotional material that clearly indicates the movie as a copy has been released. None of the close sources confirmed that the movie is completely inspired or copied from the movie.

But T-Series, the famous Hindi production and audio distribution company, has decided to move legally against the team and the reports suggest that Rana Daggubati is mediating a deal between the writer-director, producer and the T-Series management.

Some say that Trivikram offered to cut the amount of his remuneration to pay the T-series company for rights and few say that, a sum of 15 crores is demanded by the company to settle the case, amicably.

As it is too early to determine, aren't we being irrational and too fast in judging the book by it's cover? Let's wait for the further official confirmation from either party before jumping the gun. Even if it is a copy or inspired tale, it makes no difference, as it will be a Trivikram and Pawan Kalyan film at the end of the day for majority of Telugu Cinema lovers!
