The government of Andhra Pradesh has created a turmoil for the Telugu film industry with unprecedented regulations on cinema ticket prices and restrictions on special shows. On top of that, several cinema halls in Andhra Pradesh are being seized on safety grounds and the lack of proper permits.
But the latest developments are suggesting that the state government might well be prmiting ticket hikes for upcoming biggies like RRR and Radhe Shyam.
Speaking in a debate, AP minister Kordali Nani said "We won't let the black ticket culture persist. Films that are made on Rs 20 crores budget are also evading the taxes and so are the films made on Rs 200 crores budget. But every filmmaker wants concessions. If pan-India big budget films like RRR and Radhe Shyam request for flexibilities, we will consider it. But we won't do it for every other small film that will eventually evade tax," Nani said.
The fact that Nani said the the government of Andhra Pradesh will indeed consider ticket prices hike is leaving everyone greatly excited.
Needless to say, the ticket prices hike is essential for films like RRR and Radhe Shyam to recover the magnanimous investments.
