AR Murugadoss has been facing copy allegations about Sarkar story that is releasing on 6th November starring Thalapathy Vijay. K.V. Rajendran decided to move to South India Script Writers Association with his Sengol script, from which he alleged Murugadoss copied Sarkar story.

Murugadoss denied that he ever had to copy any others story and said that he took the premise of a vote being cast by someone else and what if that person revolts against such system.

He did not acknowledge that Varun Rajendran could have taken similar plot until Bhagyaraja, legendary director and President of Script Writers Association, confirmed that both the scripts are strikingly similar.

Varun with that proof moved to court and the movie release has come under threat. Varun demanded Rs. 30 Lakhs as remuneration and his name as the writer.

Murugadoss did not agree to this. But Sun Pictures, the producers wanted an amicable solution outside the court and they asked both of them to meet and talk until a solution is achieved.

Finally, Murugadoss decided to give a 30 seconds message that he appreciates K.V. Rajendran @ Varun for having imagined a similar story like him. The message will be displayed after thank you cards.

Even though the message directly doesn't say that he copied, indirectly it acknowledges that fact. Many social media users are asking if that is not an acknowledgement of coping even in indirect way then what is? Movie Sarkar will release on 6th November Worldwide.
