Baahubali franchise has become the most successful movie franchise in India ever. It is lauded as Indian Star Wars, for the kind of success it attained with each character becoming extremely popular and producers venturing into different branches of entertainment industry as well. Several Anime series, TV series and books are planned based on the characters and story of the movie.
Such a huge victory has met with some criticism as well. Many from different industries tried to play it down and said, Baahubali is huge success due to promotions and VFX. Well, using VFX in a movie is never a bad idea and marketing is done by each and every filmmaker. Still, some just for the sake of it try to criticise showing off their jealousy.
But AR Rahman, the oscar winning legendary composer lauded the film for its content and remarkef it as lucky. He said, "In Indian Cinema few major Productions did try to bring on to celluloid some huge stories with larger than life canvas but unfortunately they did not have everything going for them. Shekar Kapur's Paani should have been the biggest movie made on a large scale but it did not take off. Rajnikanth's Kocchadayan did not work out as VFX was not upto expectations. But in case of Baahubali, everything worked out very well and fell in place too." Well, sir it took more than five years of hardwork and high investment to do so. Hope, Sanghamitra can deliver on the promise too.
