Pawan vs Balakrishna, Only Battle For Sankranthi?

Update: 2017-12-12 09:52 GMT
Hardly one month is left until we have the biggest cinema season in Telugu market. Sankranti season has proved that people are more happy to accomadate two to three big films during the season. In 2016, Nagarjuna's Soggade Chinni Nayana became a huge blockbuster with Jr. NTR's Nannaku Prematho becoming a hit. Nandamuri Balakrishna's Dictator and Sharwanand's Express Raja also ended up being profitable. In 2017, Megastar Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No.150 became a record breaking grosser while Nandamuri Balakrishna's Gautamiputra Satakarni became a big hit for actor and Sharwanand scored a blockbuster this time with Shatamanam Bhavathi.

Now, the race for 2018 Sankranthi has started but none of the films that announced to be arriving for the season have shown any progress. 25th film of Pawan Kalyan, Agnyathavasi and Nandamuri Balakrishna's Jai Simha are only two that have announced the date and are ready to come on 10th and 12th of January apparently. The regular shoot of Pawan Kalyan starrer is completed and Jai Simha is nearing completion.

All others like Ravi Teja's Touch Chesi Choodu, Raj Tharun's Rajugaadu have announced before but ended up not releasing any further updates regarding the release date. Only, Suriya's Gang is promoting the movie and he team have announced date for 12th or 14th as they are waiting to finish the censor formalities. Anyways, the Telugu Industry seems to be giving away advantage to  dubbed films this year rather than trying to make some good profit during the most fruitful business season.
