Balayya didn't leave his direction dream

Balakrishna wanted to take up direction in the lines of his father NTR. He has chosen 'Nartanasala' remake for his directorial debut fifteen years ago. The movie was even launched, but the project was shelved later due to the untimely death of heroine Soundarya. Balakrishna never thought of reviving that project again.  Balayyas's strong feeling was that, no heroine can be suitable to play the role of Draupadi other than Soundarya.  Even though Balayya kept that project aside, he is saying hat he did not leave the his dream of directing a film.

In a recent interview Balaya told that "I could have directed Nartanasala. But it could not happen due to the death of Soundarya. I will not touch that subject again. I can bring out the perfomance from actors.  But body language is very important. Why should we do a film when we don't get suitable actors ?  Even though Nartanasala is shelved,  I will direct some film in the future.  We should be ready with proper groundwork when we are doing a film. Usually I write notes. Sometimes I explain some scenes to the directors and ask them to build up the story. But they will respond to me saying that..sir you have narrated everything.. what shoud we write now?"
