'Rowdy' Files Legal Case Against Amazon!

Update: 2019-02-26 06:59 GMT
Amazon.in normally welcomes any merchant to sell their goods and acts as a host, courier service between the manufacturers and customers. But they are responsible for authenticity of the brands they host too.

If they don't care about it, they will have to face legal issues like how they did in the case of Rowdy apparels.

Vijay Devarakonda launched an apparel brand Rowdy, in association with a Bangalore company as his own clothing line to milk the fame he earned with Arjun Reddy.

But his Brand clothes have been duplicated by many and we can see that they are being sold at different shops in Koti for one fourth price than what Rowdy charges.

Now, some companies on Amazon started selling the duplicate clothes of Rowdy under Generic Wear and Devarakonda's Rowdywear Pvt. Ltd., launched a court case in Bangalore City Court against this.

The court booked a prima facia case against Amazon.in and gave an interim stay on the sale of the clothes that have Vijay's face on them as well as his brand name and fabric style.

The further updates regarding the case are awaited but for now, Rowdy won over Amazon!
