Being Too Greedy Hurts Aravindha Sametha

Update: 2018-10-15 07:26 GMT
'Aravindha Sametha' grossed Rs 100 crore in 4 days. Hike in Ticket Prices across Andhra Pradesh is one of the major reasons behind the overwhelming Box Office revenues. However, Many people who can't afford a ticket costing Rs 200 returned to their homes disappointed. They have no other option but to wait until the prices come down.

Although State Government permitted the hike only for the first weekend, Distributors and Exhibitors in few districts are planning to sell the tickets for high prices on Weekdays as well to encash lack of competition and holiday season. The present situation in West Godavari could be an eye-opener for Buyers. While a special permission was obtained to sell each ticket for not less than Rs 200, Crowds kept returning back to their homes due to high pricing. What's worrying the buyers is the fact that they will have to pay Taxes to the Government as per hiked ticket prices irrespective of the occupancy.

Excessive pricing is acceptable for only those feature films which generate terrific word-of-mouth. Nobody complained when ticket prices were hiked for either 'Baahubali' franchise or 'Rangasthalam'. Whereas, Buyers of 'Aravindha Sametha' are facing the heat due to average to good word-of-mouth. If they wait till Oct 18th to reduce the prices, Not much gains can be guaranteed as two promising films (Hello Guru Prema Kosame, Pandem Kodi 2) arrive for Dussehra. So, Movie Buffs will really appreciate if ticket prices of 'Aravindha Sametha' get reduced from Today itself (First Monday).
