Can Ajith's Film Recover That Money In Telugu?

Update: 2022-01-05 10:18 GMT
Tamil star hero Ajith is well known to the Telugu audience too. A lot of his films get dubbed in Telugu and become successful. Films like 'Gambler', 'Yentha Vaadu Kaani', 'Aarambham', 'Vivegam', 'Vishwasam' and others stand as few examples over the past few years. After taking a long gap, he is set to arrive with his next film 'Valimai'. This stylish action entertainer is going to hit the screens on 13th January. As of now, the team of 'Valimai' hasn't postponed the release despite the Corona scare.

As expected, this movie is getting released in Telugu too. Ajith has a decent market in Telugu and with crazy young hero Karthikeya playing the role of the antagonist, a huge buzz surrounded this project. The film did a very good pre-release business and sources claim that the Telugu version was sold for 5 crores.

Though it is not a huge number, trade pundits are not sure if the film can bring back such money in the Telugu states. There are a lot of small films releasing during the Sankranti race and the sudden spike in Omicron cases is also a major factor. On top of everything, the ticket price issue has not been solved in Andhra Pradesh till date. With all these problems coming together at once, we need to see if Ajith's 'Valimai' gets the 5 crores back or not.

The film has been given U/A certificate from the censor board and fans are getting hyped up. Star music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja is the provider of tunes for this movie while Nirav Shah is the cinematographer. Kadhir is the art director while Vijay Velakutty is the editor. Written and directed by H Vinoth, 'Valimai' is produced by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor. The film features a lot of well-known actors like Huma Qureshi, Bani, Sumithra, Achyunth Kumar, Yogi babu and others apart from Ajith and Karthikeya. There are high expectations on this film and it has no competition in Telugu states as well as in Tamil Nadu. But it is to be seen if the makers risk having the release or postpone it like 'RRR' and 'Radhe Shyam'.
