Its impact is seen on the film industry too. As a result, most of the movie shootings were canceled, and many movies have postponed their release dates.

Now the effect of this deadly virus is also seen on the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

Thousands of filmmakers, celebrities and executives from various countries have to come to the French city to participate in Cannes. So with the ongoing outbreak, the management thought it's better to postpone the event for a while.

This film festival had to be conducted from the 12th of May to the 23rd of May. But, the organizers of Cannes in Southern France announced that the event will be postponing to the end of June or start of July.

Cannes festivities have been canceled several times in the past. In 1948 and 1950 it is canceled due to budget issues and it is stalled in 1968 due to protests.
