He stated that 'Dasara' would do wonders at the Indian box office just like 'KGF', 'RRR' and 'Pushpa'. Many thought that Nani is going overboard with his comments at that time. When asked about his comments, Nani claimed that he said those due to his confidence on the content. He was quite sure about 'Dasara' becoming a pan-Indian level hit if things work out in his favour.

With 'Pathu Thala' and 'Viduthalai' releasing last weekend, Nani's flick did not even get minimum theatres. 'Dasara' did not generate enough buzz in Kerala and Karnataka too. There is no talk regarding the movie's collections in other states in South India.
