Update: 2018-03-20 11:44 GMT
This year, 2018, we are seeing more films by debut directors with high profile heroes and even experiments too.

Venky Kudumula debuted with Chalo, Venky Atluri debuted with Tholiprema, Prashanth Verma debuted with Awe and Saran Koppisetty debuted with Kirrak Party.

Also with Ravi Teja's Touch Chesi Choodu, Vikram Sirikonda and with Manasuku Nacchindi, Manjula Ghatamaneni, debuted as directors.

While Awe and Manasuku Nacchindi, released on same day, this week too, Venu Udugula and Upendra Madhav, are trying their luck with Needi Naadi Okate Kadha and MLA, respectively.

Upendra Madhav is an assistant of Srinu Vaitla and a close friend of Anil Ravipudi. Anil Ravipudi gave a hit on his debut, Pataas, with Kalyanram.

His friend too is debuting with the same actor and a politically charged family entertainer. Let's see if can repeat the same magic as Anil.

On the other hand, Venu selected a less budget or no budget filming procedure for his film with Sree Vishnu, Needi Naadi Okate Kadha. It more looks like a real life story with depth.

Who will win the battle of debutants in the third week of March before, a monster film like Rangasthalam? Let's wait and see.
