The Andhra Pradesh High Court found the dangerous trend of making abusive comments and posts against the judges and judiciary objectionable and ordered action against them.
The case was later transferred to CBI from the AP CID. The CBI had cracked down a few users who are making and posting such comments.
While a few were arrested a few accused were served notices to give their reasons behind making the posts that are against the judiciary.
Since then, the pro YSRCP pages on social media are being monitored to look out for such comments and posts.
Amid this, NRI Punch Prabhakar who is said to be taking care of social media of YSRCP overseas was booked under criminal charges.
He was booked under the allegations of posting objectionable comments on Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla, MP RRR and others.
The case was booked by the Delhi cops in this regard. The cops took permission from the court to book a case against Punch Prabhakar.
It has been widely reported that there is a chance to bring Punch Prabhakar to India from the United States for further investigation.
